I have loved doing needlework since my first project
when I was only 7 years old. I enjoy crewel, traditional embroidery,
counted cross stitch, needlepoint and in the last few years petitpoint.
Petitpoint is worked on silk gauze in scales that are measured by
how many stitches fit across one row in a given inch. So 40-count
would be 40 stitches per inch.
Hopefully, the coins next to the photos will help you
better judge the scale. I did each of these pieces from kits sold
by Bobbie Schoonmaker.

This was my first piece, a pillow worked on 42-count
silk gauze. I donated it to a charity auction on one of the mini-mailing
lists I am a member of.

Next, I got ambitious and tried out this tapestry to
go in a middle ages room box I am working on. It took a great deal
longer to finish because it was bigger than the first pillow.

Bunnies are a huge love, and since I gave away my squirrel,
I decided I must do a rabbit to go on the nice comfy green arm chair
in my country farm house I am working on. This is on 40-count and
went much more quickly than the first two.

This is a sampler worked off a pattern by Annelle
Ferguson and based on a real historical piece made in 1770 in
Massachusetts. And yes, it is missing the letter J intentionally,
that is how the original was done.
1:12 Scale Misc.
A"hooked" rug for in front of the fireplace
or by the front door. This is done using a single strand of floss
and doing a single-knot French knot, over and over again, close together.
Yes, it is VERY time consuming and works out to about 500 knots per
square inch. I am not sure my sanity can take making another rug like
this, but I like how this one turned out.
