As I make things in quarter scale, I have found one of the biggest tricks is to find items to furnish my little homes and buildings. Unlike 1:12, there is not a lot of pre-made items for sale, so you either figure out how to make them or go without. A recent project was Mimi's Cafe and it is a bit hard to have a cafe without lots of dishes, so with a bit of trial and error, I came up with the following technique to make simple dishes.
These are the plates you will be able to make. If you don't want to use the PDF file, you can also right click on each of these images and save them as .JPG files and print them through a graphics program of your choice. 1. Print out the PDF file on a color printer, using any standard white printer paper. 2. Coat the plates graphics with clear nail polish, allow to dry. 3. Repeat step 2 until you have applied 7 or 8 coats of nail polish. 4. Once the paper is totally dry, punch out the plates using the hole punch. Viola! Beautiful china dishes for your quarter scale home!
